Maryam Aminitehrani
Director & Principal Physiotherapist
Maryam is the Director and Principal Physiotherapist at Modern Physiotherapy Clinic. She is a highly experienced, knowledgeable and patient-focused physiotherapist with a strong background across clinical practice, research and advanced rehabilitation.
Maryam completed her Master of Physiotherapy Practice at La Trobe University and undertook two years of PhD research in Neuroscience at Monash University. This combination of clinical training and neuroscience research has shaped her thoughtful, evidence-informed approach to assessment, treatment and long-term recovery.
Known for her clear communication, warm manner and strong clinical reasoning, Maryam is passionate about educating, motivating and empowering patients to better understand their condition and take an active role in their recovery. Her approach combines hands-on physiotherapy, tailored exercise rehabilitation, patient education and modern treatment technologies where clinically appropriate.
As the Principal Physiotherapist, Maryam has played a central role in developing Modern Physiotherapy Clinic into a trusted local clinic for Moonee Ponds, Ascot Vale and surrounding communities. She is committed to delivering high-quality, individualised care and helping patients improve pain, movement, confidence and function.
