Clinical Pilates
Clinical Pilates is a physiotherapy treatment technique that works to improve and maintain function. At Modern Physiotherapy Clinic, our expert physiotherapists will assess each person for their individual needs and concerns, and tailor a program that is patient specific, prior to their first Clinical Pilates session.
Clinical Pilates focuses on retaining and recruiting core stability, which subsequently will improve posture, strength and flexibility. We are using both Pilatis reformer equipment as well as floor-based routines. The most important aspect of Clinical Pilates is the ability to rehabilitate and further prevent re-aggravation to an injury.
Health and Fitness Benefits of Clinical Pilates include:
- Rehabilitation
- Injury prevention
- Improved muscular strength, tone and flexibility
- Improved posture
- Improves breathing control
- Enhanced joint mobility
- Improved bone strength
- Pain relief
- Improved balance, movement control and coordination, muscle endurance, and stability
FAQs:
1. What is the difference between Pilates and Clinical Pilates?
Non-clinical Pilates caters to the general public and does not focus on the specific injury or physical need. At Modern Physiotherapy clinic, the Clinical Pilates programs are tailored with targeted exercises to improve and address the patient’s concern.
